Description of the procedure:

A soft, flexible silicone ball, resistant to stomach acid, which adapts itself perfectly to the stomach, is introduced through the mouth. Once in place it is filled with saline solution, to which methylene blue has been added, until the desired size is achieved. The patient must wait to recover from the effects of the anaesthesia before going home and taking up normal life. The total time spent in the clinic will be 2 to 3 hours approximately.
