Internal medicine is a SPECIALITY with a long tradition dedicated to the integral attention of the adult patient.

The task of the specialist in internal medicine in our centre is, to attend in an integrated form, all the health problems of the patient and to guide him, directing the required diagnostic and therapeutic procedures and coordinating any other specialists involved, to offer the patient the appropriate treatment.

In CMH special importance is given to Internal Medicine in the treatment and prevention of cardiological disorders, endocrinological diseases, infectious diseases, rheumatology and renal disorders, the assessment of vascular risk, the prevention of cerebrovascular and coronary disease, as well as arterial disease of the lower limbs.

The Internal Medicine specialist in CMH is also an expert in diabetes, hypertension and control of raised cholesterol.

The preventive control of the patient may include a Cellular Analysis, thus making the patient’s control complete, and so solving the prevention of any coronary or vascular problems.
